When my husband passed away suddenly at just 43, my world fell apart. In that moment of unimaginable grief, I was guided towards the care of Ange’s bereavement support space. I can truly say there is no place I would have rather have been during such a painful time. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was wrapped in a sense of peace and comfort. The space felt less like a psychotherapy clinic and more like a warm, welcoming living room. Soft candlelight, comforting scents, fresh water, hot tea, and an atmosphere so gentle and calm, it gave me my first sense of safety after the shock. I knew immediately me and my family were in the most dignified and compassionate place we could be. Ange you are so much more than psychotherapist You were my steady ground when I didn't know how to stand. Your kindness, warmth, and unwavering compassion for both myself and my family went beyond anything I ever expected. Every step was taken with care, and every moment was handled with grace and deep respect. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart’

‘Sh*te, Thanks for asking'

Sh*te, Thanks for asking follows the journey of psychotherapist and writer Angi Dixon who lost her younger brother to suicide in 2019. She documents her grief journey in the first year with a powerful series of letters, essays and talks about the experience of trying to deal with the grief of losing her younger brother to suicide, her Mother to Alzheimer’s  and ultimately - herself.

‘’An Irish Woman’s journey through grief, loss, shopping for banana’s at 3am, crying in coffee queue’s and asking Siri for the GPS coordinates to the ‘otherside’. You’re not going mad - you’re grieving. That first year when you lose your person – it will knock the stuffing out of you.  So look at this book as a spray plaster and grief repair kit to get you through the moment.’’

Laugh, cry, howl - get through it.
